Two critical gaps in women’s health deserve more attention

This article dives into race-based disparities in endometrial cancer—where Black women face later diagnoses, more aggressive disease, and worse outcomes—and the complex, often misunderstood reality of managing mental illness during pregnancy and postpartum. From diagnostic tools that don’t work equally across populations to the real risks of stopping psychiatric medications during pregnancy, the evidence challenges long-held assumptions in clinical care.


If equity and evidence-based medicine matter, these conversations can’t be optional.
