KS Institute for Gender-Specific Orthopedic Technology receives Level 3 Seal of Approval

On behalf of iGIANT® (impact of Gender/Sex on Innovation and Novel Technologies), we applaud the efforts of the KS Institute for Gender-Specific Orthopedic Technology on being approved for a Level 3 iGIANT® Seal of Approval. The contributions to sex/gendered innovation will make a difference in all our lives.

The KS Institute has been awarded a prestigious seal of recognition for its pioneering, gender-responsive approach to human biomechanics and movement science. By acknowledging and integrating the structural differences in connective tissue between women and men, the company has developed innovative methods to activate muscle tone, enhance body balance, and correct existing dysbalances. This is through meticulous data collection and analysis, spanning biomechanics, ZYKLOMECHANIK, connective tissue structure, and muscle tone. This forward-thinking strategy, grounded in both research and practical testing, exemplifies a model for inclusive and scientifically sound design in the field. The iGIANT® Seal of Approval for sex/gender-inclusive design processes rewards this type of innovation and leadership. 

The Seal of Approval for this organization will be prominently displayed on the iGIANT® website by name, seal level and year. KS Institute can highlight their Seal of Approval through their websites and outreach materials by hyperlinking to the iGIANT® website at www.igiant.org.

The Seal of Approval has 5 levels which indicate how extensively this organization has integrated gender/sex-inclusivity into their operating practice with level 5 being the most extensive. There is no requirement to remain at one seal level for a specific length of time. We encourage KS Institute to apply for seals at higher levels. Additionally, subsequent seals from different portions of an organization can be pursued separately. The current seal will expire on September 5, 2026.

KS Institute for Gender-Specific Orthopedic Technology qualified for Level 3 of the iGIANT Seal of Approval by honing a cross-functional approach combining orthopedic technology, biomechanics, ZYKLOMECHANIK, material expertise, rehabilitation, and sports equipment development. Through data analysis on biomechanics and ZYKLOMECHANIK, connective tissue structure and muscle tone are collected and analyzed separately for women and men to specifically guide product development and adjustment and practical testing is conducted to ensure gender-responsive design.
