It was an iGIANT Time in Brazil!

Over 40 female executives from Brazil met March 25-27, 2018 at Hotel Fasano Angra dos Reis to share knowledge and experiences during the second edition of the Power Trip Summit hosted by Marie Claire.

Conceived as a platform for influential women in business and society to discuss relevant issues of their day-to-day lives in the context of gender equality, the Power Trip Summit Marie Claire was attended by Bob Bland, co-president of the Women's March, who gave an inspiring opening address highlighting how the Women's March was the largest coordinated protest in US history and one of the largest in world history.

I had the pleasure to provide the closing address in which I shared the iGIANT® with this distinguished audience. In an interactive discussion, questions and comments about the importance of gender/sex-specific design elements such as products, programs, policies and protocols were raised.

I was in awe of how the iGIANT resonates across geography, cultures and languages. Everyone wants and needs to have the tools, resources and opportunities to live their lives safely and with quality. There was significant interest to host roundtables and summits (on topics such as nutrition) within their companies.

Panels included Paula Paschoal (Paypal Brazil), Mariana Bastos (Season Rental), Sonia Hess (Dudalina), Amanda Capucho (Orfeu), Daniela Cachich (PepsiCo) and Luiza Trajano (Magazine Luiza) (BETC), Rachel Maia (Pandora), Andrea Natal (Belmond Copacabana Palace), Alessandra Restaino (Le Postiche), Marienne Coutinho (KPMG), Daniela Mignani (GNT), Barbara Soalheiro (Table & Chair). With 56 hours of interactive experiences and nine panels, the Summit's programming encompassed diverse topics ranging from economics, science and technology to the myth of the perfect woman in debates mediated by the editor-in-chief of the magazine, Laura Ancona and the editor-in-chief, Maria Laura Neves. In my presentation, I mentioned that this event was a feast for the mind, body and soul.

The event was sponsored by the brands Gol, The Body Shop, Orfeu and Euro, of the Technos Group.
